Meet Taylor:

Taylor Leonard is currently an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Goldey-Beacom College. She received her bachelor's in Buisness Administration with a Concentration in Sports Management  from Goldey-Beacom in 2014. She also completed her Masters in Management in 2015. She played Division II basketball at GBC from 2010-2015. Some accomplishments at GBC include: 

 

2010-11: CACC Champions and NCAA Tournament Appearance

2011-12: CACC Quarter-finals

               -Most Improved Player Award

2012-13: CACC Quarter-finals

               -Unsung Hero Award

2013-14: CACC Semi-finals and ECAC Runner-up

               -Started in all 30 games and led team in the following statistical categories: assists, 3 point percentage, and minutes played

2014-15: CACC Quarterfinals, Team Captain

               -Most Valuable Player Award

2015-2016:  Assistant Coach at Goldey-Beacom College

 

Success at Coleman High School:

 

Personal Accomplishments:

 

2006-2007: All State 5th Team

2007-2010: Team Captain

2007-2009: All section Team

2007-2008: All State 3rd Team

2007, 2008: NYS Final Four Tournament Team

                    -Daily Freeman First Team

2008: MHAL League MVP

2009: NYS Final Four MVP

                  -NYS Player of the Year

                  -Daily Freeman Player of the Year

                  -Scored 1,000th point

2009-2010: Senior year tore ACL, MCL, and Meniscus

                  -Only appeared in the last five games.

Guy Leonard starting his coaching career in 1998 and hasn't stopped since. He has coached girls all over the area in all levels: CYO, Travel, JV, Varsity, and AAU. His dedication, success, and passion for the game has lead him to be inducted into Coleman High School's Hall of Fame in May 2016. Not only does he care about the players success on the court, but off the court as well. He has helped multiple student-athletes take their game to the next level, college.  

 

The Early Years:

 

1998: Started coaching St. Marys CYO

2002: Assisted Duane Postupack coaching Coleman High School's Varsity team

2003: Started his own AAU team: Kingston Vipers

2004-2005: St. Mary's Girls travel team went to Archdiocesan Championship twice

2005-2006: JV Coach at Kingston High School

                 -Record: 37-3

 

Success at Coleman High School:

 

 

2007-Present: 10 years at Coleman High School

                -Record: 157-49

                -Made sectionals 9 out of 10 years at Coleman 

High School

                -Only coach in NYS to win three consecutive section titles in three different classes (B, C,& D) 

2009-2011: Two State Championships

                - Two time NYS Class D Coach of the Year

                - MHAL Champions

2008, 2009, 2011: Daily Freeman Coach of the Year

2011: Times Herald Record Coach of the Year

2008-2012: Five NYS Final Four appearances

2008-2013: Six straight Sectional Championships in three different classes (B, C,& D)
